Pavilion Gardens charity day
THANK goodness for the shade of the gazebo supplied by Peter Fuller for the North Laine Community Association stall at the baking hot charity and community day in the Royal Pavilion gardens on June 28.
The stall made £123.30 for association funds from a tombola and selling two North Laine books, plus a proportion of the sale of one of Tineke Tammes's North Laine art prints.
The new Mayor of Brighton, Councillor Alexandra Phillips, visited the stall and was interested in our anti-tagging intitiative, taking away flyers and other information. Miss Brighton, Rebecca Kite, also called by and has joined our Facebook anti-tagging group.
We talked to many other people interested in NLCA's work who took away anti-tagging flyers, information on North Laine walks, Runners and more.
Thanks to NLCA's Peter Fuller and tireless Mitch Egan for organising the whole event which involved many other local charities, with support from
David Sewell of the Pavilion Gardens cafe.
And also thanks to all who donated tombola prizes, supported us by buying tickets and took their turn staffing the NLCA stall.
